Seaweed is full of vitamin B-12, a micronutrient rarely found in plant sources. Dried seaweed contains calcium, fiber, iron, and vitamins A, C and E. It also contains iodine, a necessary nutrient for the thyroid.

I did not think my daughter would like these seaweed sheets, but I called them seaweed “chips” and she tried one…and then asked for another! She now will ask for seaweed chips for a snack I purchased mine at Trader Joes. You can also crumble the seaweed over salads, mix into soups, or stir in with roasted veggies. The seaweed adds great flavor and is a wonderful salt substitute.
