Seaweed Chips

This vegan friendly snack tastes like you are eating a sushi roll! These seaweed sheets are actually quite tasty, but I am used to eating sushi, so for some this will likely be an acquired taste. Seaweed is full of vitamin B-12, a micronutrient rarely found in plant sources. Dried seaweed contains calcium, fiber, iron, and vitamins A, C and E. It also contains iodine, a necessary nutrient for the thyroid.

Here is an article called 4 Reasons to Eat Your Ocean Veggies. There are four different types of ocean veggies listed, which you can purchase at Whole Foods or edenfoods.com.

I did not think my daughter would like these seaweed sheets, but I called them seaweed “chips” and she tried one…and then asked for another! She now will ask for seaweed chips for a snack :) I purchased mine at Trader Joes. You can also crumble the seaweed over salads, mix into soups, or stir in with roasted veggies. The seaweed adds great flavor and is a wonderful salt substitute.
