Everyone, including people with food allergies, wants to induldge in a delicious dessert once and awhile, especially a cupcake! My friend’s son is allergic to dairy and gluten, so I decided to post my cupcake recipe with one change to simplify the process. I found a gluten and dairy free cake mix, Bob’s Red Mill, which you can simply add a couple ingredients to and make delicious chocolate cupcakes.
3 Tablespoons ground flax seed
6 Tablespoons water
Bob’s Red Mill Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 hot water
3/4 cup Soy Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
The flax seed replaces the eggs, and the applesauce replaces the butter.
1/2 cup of applesauce replaces 1/2 cup butter
1. Preheat oven to 350F
2.Place the ground flax seed in the 6 tablespoons of water and let sit for 2 minutes
3. Combine the applesauce, cake mix, soy milk, and fround flax seed
4. Add the hot water and vanilla
